There’s something truly special about watching two people you’ve known for years step into married life together. Having been good friends with both Reignar and Elana’s families for so long, it was so good to catch up with so many friends. Their ceremony was held at the local Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses in Armidale, with a beautiful talk & officiated by good friends Greg and Allan.
Reception
The reception followed at the stunning Rock Abbey Gardens in Uralla, and honestly, it couldn’t have been more perfect. The grounds were a dream for photos—lush gardens, tall pines, golden grass, a breathtaking sunset, and rustic charm. There were endless scenic corners that made capturing the day feel effortless.
One of the most unique and heartwarming details of the day was Elana’s wedding dress. She actually found it when she was just 15 years old in an op shop! At the time, it was just a fun “dress-up” piece with her friends—but she loved it so much she kept it. Years later, she walked down the aisle wearing that same dress. It was a beautiful reminder that some things are just meant to be—just like Reignar and Elana.
The clear marquee, lit entirely by twinkling fairy lights looked stunning under the trees. Attached in an old rustic shed was an incredible grazing platter was served alongside Samson’s famous curries—the perfect winter comfort food. Later in the evening, the space became a relaxed setting for informal speeches and dancing. It was magical.

What made the day even more meaningful was how many friends and family contributed to making it so special. The gorgeous flowers were arranged by close friend Rosemerin—soft tones and beautiful textures that perfectly matched the relaxed elegance of the day. Bec styled Elana’s hair and also baked and decorated the stunning multi-tiered wedding cake.
Why I do what I do
Weddings like this remind me why I love what I do. It’s not just about the photos—it’s about capturing the spirit of the day, the relationships, and the real moments that will be remembered forever. It’s about friends coming together, offering their time and talents to create something truly magical.
