Wright Family Shoot “Beulah” Cowra NSW

Extended family shoots are always special, but some moments are just very special. For the Wright family of Cowra, NSW, this photo session was not just about capturing smiles and poses. It was a farewell to their beloved family property, “Beulah,” after 42 years of cherished memories of raising a family here for Malcom and Robyn,

With 5 children and 5 grandchildren, ad their partners the Wright family have cultivated countless memories on their farm. From harvests to heartfelt gatherings, wedding photos, every corner of Beulah holds a story. One of the shots Malcolm requested was a shot with his boys who helped farm here. This was a our last stop for the day. We drove up to one of the highest hills on the property. The light, the location the susset was magical!

Yes the shoot was easy. smiles, laughter and lots of lolly-pops for the kids. Everyone was happy. and did I mention the sunset was incredible too.

The next morning Rachel who is also a local Cowra photographer wanted a small family shoot for her little family. We searched for spots and found some more great locations on the farm. It was so foggy but again the clouds and light were amazing. The kids also had fun running around. So good Rachel and Dan did this. Last time we photographed this little family were only 3, now they are 5.. Also I feel its so important as a photographer to get on the side of the camera so we experience what its like. Yes its hard. and YES I am due to do it again!

Celebrating Love: Corban & Maddi’s Unforgettable Wedding in Tamworth

Oh, let me tell you about the magic that unfolded on Friday, the 10th, when we had the absolute joy of photographing Corban & Maddi’s wedding right here in Tamworth! Yes after having a little break from weddings it was so good to back being a Tamworth Wedding photographer

From the moment we arrived, it was clear this day was going to be something special. The sun was shining, the venue was brimming with charm, and the energy of the bridal party was infectious. Corban and Maddi, with their radiant smiles and undeniable chemistry, set the tone for a day filled with love and laughter.

The Tamworth Paceway, with its vintage allure, provided the perfect backdrop for their celebration. Every corner was adorned with their personal touch, and I couldn’t help but marvel at how they transformed the space into a dreamy haven of romance.

Before theeir big day kicked off, we ventured out to scout a few photo spots. And let me tell you, when we stumbled upon those blue-tiered seats at the venue, of the paceway I knew we had struck gold. The resulting shots? Pure magic.

But let’s talk about some of the real stars of the show – the bridal party. What a dynamic bunch! Their camaraderie and willingness to dive headfirst into the festivities made every moment unforgettable. There were jokes, there was dancing, and there was an abundance of joy that filled the air.

From the heartfelt words of their celebrant to the seamless coordination by their MC and ushers, and love from their families it was evident that Corban & Maddi are surrounded by a community of love and support.

And can we take a moment to swoon over how stunning Maddi was as a bride? Her hair, makeup, and dress were nothing short of perfection, and capturing her beauty alongside her girls was an absolute dream. And let’s not forget about the dapper gents rocking those blue suits – they certainly knew how to steal the show!

Corban & Maddi, I can’t thank you enough for allowing me to be a part of your special day. It was an honor to witness your love story unfold and to capture the magic that defines your relationship.

Emma & Nic’s | Goonoo Goonoo Station | Wedding

Last weekend I shot Emma and Nic’s wedding at the always incredible, Goonoo Goonoo Station. The week leading up to this wedding was stressful for Emma & Nick to say the least. A covid outbreak was starting to on fold in Sydney. Emma & Nic were already in Tamworth but many of their guest were from Sydney and were caught in the lockdown including one of Nic’s groomsmen. Fast forward till the eve of their wedding more restrictions for another of Emma’s bridesmaids who had to leave straight away to avoid lockdown in QLD.

For Nic and Emma not having three of their bridal party present was really hard. But a positive they were able to invite guests whom they previously couldn’t due to numbers.

So Saturday of their wedding started off perfectly. I turned up at Emmas parents house which was a dream to photograph in. Emma’s dress was so perfect for her, so unique. Her dress who was designed by Lilli Marcs of Paddington. The train was made of this incredible lace that was also detachable for the reception- a perfect idea.

Emma & Nic had their ceremony out in the gardens of “The church” at Goonoo Goonoo station. Simple elegant and Vanessa Dobson did a fabulous job, as usual for the ceremony.

Nic and Emma did not want to be away from their guests too long for bridal photos so we chose to do all their location photos on the lawn and surrounds near the reception centre. The sunset and light for this afternoon was incredible. Half-way through this shoot again another covid change happened. Andrea the events organizer at Goonoo Goonoo station informed us that dancing at weddings in NSW was to be restricted to the bridal party only from 6PM. So with some discussion Nic and Emma decided they would dance from 5pm-6pm with all their guests then have their dinner. This was so so good. You could feel the electricity and fun on the dance floor. never have I been at a wedding where the dance floor was so electric at sun-down! This just showed how great Emma & Nic, their guests and Goonoo Goonoo Stations espresso Martini cocktails were!!

All I can say is Nic & Emma were so relaxed about all these changes. They just took everything in their stride. Cardboard cut-outs for their bridal party who couldn’t make it, dancing their heart out from 5-6pm. Also for Goonoo Goonoo Station and their team also just working with these changes, pushing back dinner to accommodate this as well- fabulous!

Starr Family | Tamworth Family Portrait

a few weeks back I finally got to meet the Starr family. What a gorgeous afternoon it was. I have photographed a few of their good friends, the flynns, Leach’s and the Goodmans So when Bri contacted me asking for a family shoot I knew this was going to be fabulous.

Bri also mentioned that their family had so many precious memories on Conrad’s family farm which was just out of Tamworth and they wanted their family shoot to be there. So many great memories of bonfires, kids chasing the chickens and riding their bikes all over the farm.

Family shoots like this I adore. Just kids being kids, gorgeous long golden grass, a family that has alot of fun together So all their family photos look so natural not forced or posed.

Nellie & Chevy were just the coolest kids. From chasing the chickens, riding their bikes, showing me around the farm and just been so much fun. They loved having their photos taken. Yes these kids were a blessing to shoot!

Winter is usually a quiet time for family portraits. But I must say the softer light & gorgeous colors & textures of the clothing & incredible sunsets. It is such a perfect time of year to shoot.

Jason & Amelia | Ottimo House

A few weeks ago after shooting another fabulous wedding on Saturday my husband & I travelled down to Sydney for a Sunday wedding. Amelia & Jason first contacted me when good friends Alan & Tosha who had been at other weddings I had photographed at recommended me. After chatting on the phone a few times, plans changing due to Covid it was so good to finally meet Jason, Amelia & their family & friends.

This day flowed so easily from the boys getting ready to Amelia’s amazing parents house – for the getting ready pics I had one perfect day

Jason & Amelia were planning an indoor ceremony but decided with covid they wanted an outdoor ceremony. Having booked Ottimo house for their reception they decided to have it all in one place.

Ottimo house was incredible. I have never photographed there. But to have your ceremony, reception & photo locations all in one spot makes it very easy.

So after the ceremony & family pics we headed up the hill with the bridal party. I just love photographing a wedding with a big bridal party that love to have fun & get “amongst it”. We put on music & before we knew it the sun was setting & our photos were done.

This location & day was perfect as you will see by the pics. Jason & Amelia are just the most sweetest couple. Seeing them interact, laugh & pause for a moment to watch their first setting sun together as husband & wife was magical.

The reception was incredible full of life, laugh & culture. Great speeches & great dancing.

McLoughlin Family | Family portraits |Gunnedah

A few weeks ago I caught up with Mel & her little for the second part of their family shoot. I first photographed Mel & her extended family on December 25th for my holiday promotion. That day was a little different for their family shoot. we photographed over 40 people that day( just in their family). So when we did just her little family it was a little different. Both are important & great but I must admit getting to know a little family & all the kids individual personalities is exactly what I love.

All the boys got right into the photoshoot running around, wresting & joking. just awesome! The Mcloughlin family were up for anything. The shoot felt more like hanging out then working. So yes it left me smiling all evening.

Brown Family |Tamworth Newborn Photography

For a newborn family shoot in Tamworth you have a few options. A styled studio session where bub is usually wrapped up & more structured posed photos. Whilst I use to do these shoots a few years ago, this just isn’t me. You will see why below.

Brianna contacted me to book her newborn photoshoot in a few weeks before her second bub was born. She received a gift voucher from her closest friends- what a perfect gift!!! She was so excited & couldn’t wait for her shoot. Her & her fiance Mitch work & live on the family dairy farm. When we were chatting I said I don’t do studio newborn shoots. Rather if she was happy to, we would be photographing her little family outdoors where they live. As you will see this suited Brianna & Mitch perfectly. She also said that’s exactly what she wanted. & yes where they live was just perfect for this sort of shoot.

As soon as I arrived Mitch & Bri’s first son Brax got chatting to me. Telling me about his dog, the cats, the farm, his new brother & the thing he loved most- The cows!! Brax was incredible! he was able to tell me everything about the dairy cows on the farm, their names, who was who amongst all the cows & of course his favourite cow- This kid was a classic!! He also photographed perfectly!!

Huxley the newest addition to the Trickett family was just relaxed & slept through nearly the whole thing. But as you will also see this newborn is just so adorable! A huge thanks to Bri also she dressed everyone so perfectly.

Isaiah & Beth’s |Tamworth NSW Wedding Photographer

As a Tamworth NSW wedding photographer I just adore meeting couples like Isaiah & Beth. As soon as I met these guys I walked away thinking they were so special & their wedding will be too. As we chatted over coffee, they told me how it would be impossible for Isaiah’s parents to travel to Australia due to Covid.

Like so many covid weddings this year so many family & friends haven’t been able to make weddings. But this one really broke my heart. Isaiah sat there & told me how close he was to his mum & dad but also how special they were. Yes Isaiah & Beth did everything so his mum & dad could be present for this day. So 3am Texas time Isaiah’s family & friends watched & participated via zoom. As you will see I was also able to get a shot of both of them on screen at the same time.

The day was absolutely incredible.This was one special wedding. They were just so in love. They also have a strong faith in God & this was highlighted throughout their day. So many of their guests felt the same as them too. All united on one day.

The day was incredibly windy so instead of going straight to Tangaratta Vineyards I decided to take the bridal party to a more secluded location out of the wind. We then did last light at Tangaratta. Both locations were magical as you will see.

Working beside me for the day was Matt from Day one films. What a great team we made filming & photographing ideas together it was so easy & so relaxed. His video was also incredible! Thanks Matt

Heidi & Brent’s- Tamworth Wedding

Heidi & Brent’s Tamworth Wedding. What a day! What a couple! What a wedding!

Heidi & Brent had one crazy year due to Covid. Everything was planned perfectly & then covid hit in March. October was to be the new date but with border closures & many of their guests and bridal party not being able to make it, Brent & Heidi postponed again.
They were going to aim for a 2021 wedding. But at the end of September, I caught up with Heidi again & they decided November was their new date.
So November came around. With Heidi being able to use all her original vendors her day was perfect.

We started the day at “The Press 2340 for the boys photos. This place is just magical, incredible mood lighting & windows that seeped through the windows. Using a bit of off-camera flash to achieve an “epic” saloon grooms photograph.


Heidi has a good friend who has a gorgeous air bnb in calala. This place with white walls & great lighting made such a gorgeous place for the girls to get ready.
I always discuss their “getting ready” location as lighting can have such an impact of getting great images. So having a place like this was ideal.

Brent’s family farm in Calala was the location for their ceremony. All the guests travelled down to the centre of the property where the creek flowed through. Green grass, blue skies & the Tamworth mountains all in our background. Just spectacular!
For our location photos of course being right on the farm we didn’t have to travel far with paddocks, shed & crops all around us.

Brent & Heidi’s reception was at “The Mercure at Wests. What a location, what a venue. A gorgeous outdoor area where your guests can mingle & a huge reception room. The food was exquisite. Brent & his dad own Country Capital meats. So of course meat was going to feature heavily on all their courses. All their guests were in for such a treat with many courses of perfectly cooked & presented meats.
Heidi & Brent wanted the “same-day slideshow” which everyone just loved. Seeing images up from the day at the reception. A huge announcement by Brent during his speech was that they were expecting Twins!! At that point on the projector above we showed pictures of the two of them holding two jumpsuits. All their guests were over the moon.

For Heidi & Brent photos were important to them & they were happy to get a few extra photographs at their reception. When couples do this & sacrifice their precious time away from their reception & guests I am overjoyed & very thankful .But as you will see the results are so worth it. The Mercure is one incredible place!

I just adored shooting this wedding & getting to know Heidi & Brent. They are one truly special couple. Yes I do meet alot of gorgeous couples that have incredible weddings but this one has definitely left a huge smile in my heart.
Thanks guys for such a magical, incredible day. Cant wait for the twins to arrive!!

Joel & Jasmin | Tamworth Wedding|

A few weeks ago I photographed Joel & Jasmin for their wedding day. I have known Jasmin for years ever since her mum worked in the Kodak camera shop in Kmart Plaza Tamworth. Fast forward many years later & Jasmin meeting the man of her dreams I was asked to photograph their wedding.

Covid hasnt been easy on my couples wanting to get married. Jasmin & Joel patiently waited as restrictions eased. They decided to have a small wedding due to these restrictions & make the day about spending time with their very close friends & family.

They kept their original plans of their ceremony at The Tamworth Jockey Club but due to restrictions went to Corey’s function centre for their reception. This place, newly renovated looked incredible. As you will see amazing chandeliers hang from the ceiling. As soon as I seen these I knew this would make an incredible shot. The staff at Corey’s were incredible as we had to move a few tables to get this photograph thankyou!

Joel’s boss had a farm just outside of town so when they took me to show me this spot for location photographs I knew it would be incredible. Long grass, little country driveways, 100’s of photos spots all in one location.

The day was a freakishly cold day for a spring day but all the bridal party got amongst it & as you will see had so much fun! When a day happens like this I always say you have three things to keep you warm- alcohol, blankets ( which I pack for between photos pics) & each other!

I photographed Joel & Jasmin for an engagement shoot last year & just loved it. Here is one couple that are truly in-love & really appreciate what they have together. So photographing these guys for their wedding day was just one easy task. Just to see them their connection but with their closest friends & family was so memorable.
