Arlo & Shannon
Arlo and Shannon’s wedding at Dathem Park, just outside of Tamworth, was everything a country wedding should be — relaxed, beautiful, and full of genuine moments. It was the perfect setting for a day focused on natural image photography, capturing real memories as they unfolded.
The ceremony and reception were held at the beautiful Dathem Park Woolshed, set high on a hill with stunning views over the Tamworth countryside. The bridal party were so much fun — relaxed, easygoing, and just enjoying the day, which made capturing natural, candid photos such a joy.
To avoid the heat, Arlo and Shannon decided to have their speeches early in the afternoon. It meant everyone could relax and enjoy the cooler part of the day for photos later on. While the guests enjoyed cocktail hour back at the Woolshed, we wandered out across the endless hills around Dathem Park. The golden afternoon light and wide open spaces were perfect for creating timeless wedding images without any pressure or fuss.
One of the best parts of the day for me was reconnecting with Shannon’s family — I had photographed her sister’s wedding more than 15 years ago. It was so special to see familiar faces and capture new memories for such a beautiful, down-to-earth family.
If you’re planning a Tamworth wedding and are looking for a photographer who focuses on relaxed, natural image photography, Dathem Park is an incredible choice for your day. Wide open spaces, beautiful sunsets, and a relaxed country vibe — it really has everything for a stunning wedding day.
